Currently working as an Azure DevOps engineer on a UK government department project. The role involves building pipelines interacting with ADLS, Synapse and dedicated SQL pools. Some of the more complex tasks have been written as posts on my website.

Worked within the global Sales and Trading reporting team, with members across London, New York and Bangalore. Projects focused on data management and implementing an interface structure around QlikView to manage the data sources for each dashboard. Also provided continual assistance to end users in dashboard writing and performance tuning.

Designed and built a data warehouse, with a nightly extract process from the Calypso trading and Sales Logix CRM systems. The purpose was to provide point in time trade positions, Mark-to-Market client account values and profit and loss to the business.

Worked alongside the data warehouse team, to install a Business Objects environment over a Teradata dataset. Built an aggregate aware Universe and a set of reports for the main wealth management trading desks.

Supported an existing Business Objects environment, that required Universe rationalisation, to reduce ongoing support costs. Supported the rewrite of ASP data extract projects to .NET.

Migrated a corrupt Business Objects environment to the newly released XI version. Rewrote the main universe and replaced the majority of freehand SQL data sources in hundreds of reports, to point to the Universe. This allowed data warehouse changes to be reflected quickly to the business.
